NSW Touch Football is pleased to announce the appointment of the inaugural members of the NSWTF Affiliate Advisory Panel.
Following an Expression of Interest process and subsequent consideration by the NSWTF Board, the appointed members will form the first Affiliate Advisory Panel, providing an important and structured voice for Affiliates across NSW.
The Affiliate Advisory Panel has been established to support the CEO and Board by representing the views of NSWTF Affiliates, providing insight into the different operating environments across the state, and contributing to the ongoing development, sustainability, and growth of Touch Football in NSW.
The inaugural members appointed to the NSWTF Affiliate Advisory Panel are:
- Nic Grose – NSWTF Board Representative
- Simon Lyne – Lower Blue Mountains Touch Association
- Pauline Doyle – UNSW South Syndey Rabbitohs
- Christopher Duncan – St Georges Basin Touch Association
- James Harrington – Lismore Touch Football Association
- Emma Bolton – Sapphire Coast Touch Association
- Marc Lawrence – Wagga Wagga Touch Association
- Katrina McIlwraith – Hills Hornets Touch Association
- Rochelle Stevens – Wallsend Touch Association
NSWTF CEO Daniel Rushworth said the establishment of the Panel was an important step in strengthening engagement and communication between NSWTF and its Affiliate network. “The Affiliate Advisory Panel provides a formal and meaningful way for Affiliates to contribute their views, share their experiences and help shape the future direction of Touch Football in NSW,” Rushworth said.
“Our Affiliates are at the heart of the game. They understand the opportunities and challenges at local level, and this Panel will ensure those insights are directly considered as we continue to develop our programs, services, competitions and broader strategic priorities.”
The Panel will provide advice and feedback across key areas including Affiliate operations, participation and growth, competition models, governance, facilities, volunteer development, communication and the broader delivery of Touch Football across NSW.
NSWTF Director Nic Grose, who has been appointed as the Board representative on the Affiliate Advisory Panel, said the Panel would provide an important link between Affiliates and the NSWTF Board. “I am really pleased to be part of the inaugural Affiliate Advisory Panel and to help ensure the views and experiences of our Affiliates are heard and considered at Board level,” Grose said.
“Affiliates are central to the delivery of Touch Football across NSW. This Panel provides a valuable opportunity to bring together a range of perspectives from across the state, identify common challenges, share ideas and support practical outcomes that benefit the broader Touch Football community.”
In appointing the inaugural members, the NSWTF Board considered the objectives of the Panel, the skills and experience of nominees, and the importance of achieving a mix of perspectives across Affiliate size, geography, background and local operating environments.
The first meeting of the Affiliate Advisory Panel is scheduled to take place on Thursday 23 July.
