New South Wales Touch Football (NSWTF) is pleased to confirm the competition dates for the 2026 Vawdon Cup.
The Vawdon Cup continues to provide an outstanding platform for players, coaches, referees, and Affiliates to come together in a high-quality competition environment. In 2026, NSWTF has sought to build on the success of previous seasons by delivering a competition structure that is competitive, balanced and as practical as possible for our Touch Football community.
The confirmed dates reflect NSWTF’s commitment to providing an equitable competition format, improving fixture balance, reducing pressure on referees and venues, and carefully managing the significant calendar challenges that exist across September, October and early November.
COMPETITION DATES
Start Date: Friday, September 4
End Date: Sunday, November 1
Areas considered included participant feedback from the 2025 Vawdon Cup survey, referee and official workloads, venue availability, school and representative calendar clashes, Youth League requirements, and opportunities to improve the overall competition experience for teams and affiliates.
NSWTF also acknowledges that balancing competition quality, fairness, venue logistics and scheduling requirements across such a large competition may require some flexibility throughout the season.
NSWTF is looking forward to delivering another exciting and highly competitive Vawdon Cup in 2026 and thanks affiliates for their ongoing support and collaboration.
