The “Wonder Women in Touch” program is designed to empower women in the NSW Touch Football community, fostering their development as leaders, coaches, referees, and administrators. The program aims to provide resources, education, and opportunities to upskill, create professional networks, and encourage women to thrive in sports leadership.
The Wonder Women in Touch program and network aims to equip women involved in NSW touch football community with the tools, resources, and support they need to excel. By providing a combination of education, upskilling, guidance, and a strong community of like-minded women, this program can help bridge the current gap in sports leadership in our sport and create lasting change in the NSWTA community.
Objectives:
- To build leadership skills among women involved in touch football.
- To provide ongoing development and mentorship opportunities for women in our sport.
- To create a supportive network where women can share experiences, advice, and opportunities.
- To increase the number of female coaches, referees, administrators and leaders in the sport.
- To showcase role models and provide recognition to women excelling in their roles.
