2016 Vawdon Cup Draw Available

New South Wales Touch Football is pleased to announce that 111 teams will be participating in the 2016 Vawdon Cup, which will commence on Friday July 22^nd.

New South Wales Touch Football acknowledges that there were a number of draw requests made by Affiliates in relation to the draw and where possible some of these were met. In many cases due to the structure and configuration of venues many of these were not able to be met.

As previously advertised the competition will be across 12 rounds with teams playing the maximum number of games possible in the allowable timeframes. Due to the construct of the draw in each division additional games are manipulated on the basis of the State Rankings.

Further explanation on this is detailed below;

12/11 Team Divisions: Given that a complete round takes 11 rounds the 12^th and final round has teams playing highest ranked to lowest ranked e.g. 1^st vs 12^th , 2^nd vs 11 etc. This ensures that all competitors participate in the maximum number of games. Divisions for this structure include;

• Men’s & Women’s Premier League
• Men’s & Women’s Division 1
• Men’s Division 3
• Girl’s Youth League

10 Team Divisions: Given that a complete round takes 9 rounds the final 3 round has teams playing highest ranked to lowest ranked similarly to what is mentioned above. Games have been further manipulated to ensure as much as possible teams do not play teams in consecutive rounds. This ensures that all competitors participate in the maximum number of games. Divisions for this structure include;

• Mixed Division 1
• Men’s & Women’s Division 2
• Boy’s Youth League

The draw can be viewed via the NSW Touch Football Website; https://nswtouch.com.au/representative/vawdon-cup/  The draw is also available via the “NSW Touch” App. This can be downloaded via The App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Android).

Final Series Structure

With the final series structure they will be in the main broken into Championship and Bowl Final Series where applicable. As per the feedback provided in 2015 this is not included into the Premier League Divisions.

New South Wales Touch Football reminds all participants that it is essential that they are aware of the Vawdon Cup Conditions of Entry as well as the NSWTA General Conditions of Entry. As previously mentioned there were changes in each of these documents compared to previous years.
