Following the decision last year to postpone the April 2017 Masters Trans Tasman, we would like to advise the rescheduled dates for the 2017 Masters Trans Tasman Series and further nomination information.
The Masters Trans Tasman Series has now been scheduled for September 14th to 18th 2017 in Kawana, Sunshine Coast, Queensland, in conjunction with the National Youth Championships at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Due to the 2017 World Masters Games, we have resolved with Touch New Zealand that the divisions for this event will be: Women 27s, Men’s 30’s, the 40s and 50s.
The date change has necessitated some changes to the selection and training camp timelines previously communicated in 2016. This attached document outlines the new nomination and selection process for the Australian Master’s Teams for the period – March 2017 to September 2017.
TFA will again implement a Master’s Selection/Training Program, whereby players are required to nominate for selection. Training Squads will be selected after the 2017 NTL and players will then participate in selection and training camps in the lead up to the international event.
Please note: ALL interested players must submit a nomination for this event, regardless of previous nominations in 2016.
More detailed information on the actual tour will become available in the next few months. However, indicative costs for a player levy based on previous international events held in Australia would be in the area of $1500.
