The New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) is thrilled to announce the latest inductees into its prestigious Hall of Fame. After a four-year gap, with the 2020 inductions postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Hall of Fame is back to honour exceptional contributors to the sport of touch football in NSW.
The NSWTA Hall of Fame, a revered accolade in the touch football community, recognises outstanding achievements across multiple categories: Open Male Players, Open Female Players, Senior Male Players, Senior Female Players, Coaches, and Referees.
This quadrennial event celebrates those who have significantly impacted and demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication to the sport. The Hall of Fame Panel, composed of experts with deep knowledge and experience across all eras of touch football, has meticulously reviewed potential inductees.
Their recommendations, grounded in rigorous merit-based criteria, were subsequently endorsed by the NSWTA Board. This year’s selections also consider the missed opportunity for recognition in 2020 due to the pandemic. Each candidate must meet specific criteria, with recommendations requiring approval from at least 80% of the Hall of Fame Panel.
The Panel convenes every four years to review and select individuals deserving of this high honour.
The inductees, selected for their exemplary contributions and adherence to the Hall of Fame’s esteemed standards, are:
