As the Vawdon Cup Grand Final tapped off today, the stage was set for some thrilling matches and fierce rivalries. Wow, we were not disappointed.
The new and revamped competition featured a record number of teams, 108, competing across 14 divisions. The format changes aimed to create a more streamlined competition during the warmer months and serve as a lead-up to the State Cup.
One of the most significant adjustments in the shift this year from two 20-minute halves to a 30-minute Turnaround, with doubleheaders scheduled on alternate weeks.
