The Smith Medal has seen both Dani Davis of Manly and Ash Quinlan from Easts cement their position as leaders with both having best on ground performances. Wests Kelly Goodwin also had a strong game against Newcastle to pick up three (3) votes, her first of the season. Bailey Nix and Andrea Roditis of Renegades and Norths, like Goodwin also picked up their first votes of the year and again they were for best on ground performances.
In the Boland Medal Hornsby’s Dylan Hennessey only picked up one vote but it keeps him atop of the table. Daniel Barton from Parramatta three (3) votes against Hornsby moves him second, only a point off the lead. Manly’s Jed Ibbotson’s strong performance in their upset win against the Panthers moves him just one game away from the leader. Bankstown’s Daniel Stone is also showing strong early season form with a best on ground performance against Wests to have him just two votes behind Hennessey.
