NSWTA UPDATE

As a result of the updated restrictions put in place by the NSW Government yesterday, we provide the following advice.

Primarily while restrictions are in place the NSW Government is still requesting that a level of personal responsibility be considered in relation to all non-essential activity for the Greater Sydney Region.

As such where Junior State Cup and NTL trials and training or domestic competitions are being considered- all Regional and Affiliate officials, team management, and players need to consider not only if an activity is essential, but importantly falls within the current health orders and restrictions.

It would be our position that no activity prior to Jan 3, 2021 (Jan 10, 2021 for the Northern Beaches Peninsula zone) would be deemed essential at this point in time.

Please note that NO activity can take place that does not have an approved COVID Safety plan in effect. Also, the current NSWTA return to Play Protocols must be adhered to.

Importantly please note the following NSW Government and NSW Health restrictions.

For the Northern Beaches peninsula zone (North of Narrabeen Bridge, and east of the Baha’i Temple), the following rules apply until January 9:

• The health situation remains volatile and the current restrictions will remain in place to suppress community transmission.
• Current arrangements allowing five people to gather outdoors (not at home) for exercise and recreation, from within the same zone, continues.
For the remainder (southern zone) of the Northern Beaches, the following rules apply until January 2:
• The health situation remains volatile and the current restrictions will remain in place to suppress community transmission.
• Current arrangements allowing 10 people to gather outdoors (not at homes) for exercise and recreation, from within the same zone, continues.

NB. No person/s from outside the Zone may enter either Zone.

For Greater Sydney, Central Coast, and Wollongong the following rules apply:

• Outside gatherings will be restricted to 50 people in total.

For regional NSW there is no change to current arrangements.

Any person presenting the slightest symptoms is NOT to attend any activities as per the return to play protocol. The health and well-being of our Touch Football community is and remains our priority.

Please have a safe New Year and please ensure you follow the NSW Health advice.
