The 2019 NSW Touch Football Year 7/8 State Final produced the heat on and off the field today at The Kingsway.
41 Teams representing 33 Schools came from far and wide to attend the 2019 event. Schools gained qualification through their Regional Year 7/8 events which were held at 16 locations across NSW.
The likes of Kingscliff HS and Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School travelled from the far North Coast; Guyra HS travelling from the North West of the state; St Mary’s Wellington the furthest West and Kildare down south.
Stella Maris College were victorious in the Girls Event on a flawless day, going undefeated throughout the day. The girl’s team came out on top in a 3 on 3 drop off against The Hills Sports High School; both teams wanting the win; the game was going from end to end. Stella scoring after 3 minutes of 3 on 3 drop off play to secure the win 3-2.
Narrabeen Sports High was the outstanding team of the day in the Boys event. They also went undefeated throughout the day, to come out champions of the Boys Grand Final. Having already matched with Patrician Brothers College through round matches; the teams knew each-others gameplay heading into the Grand Final. Narrabeen victors of the game 4 -1 to Patrician Brothers.
