State Cup once again proved why it’s the premier event on the touch football calendar, showcasing outstanding talent, thrilling contests, and the unmistakable atmosphere that only this tournament can create.
Across all divisions, the quality of touch was exceptional. Teams battled through three days with two days of intense heat, pushing themselves in challenging conditions before being rewarded with perfect touch footy weather on Sunday — a fitting stage for finals day.
And in true State Cup fashion, the drama didn’t end with the full-time whistle. Just moments after the final game wrapped up, the venue was shaken by one of the loudest cracks of lightning we’ve ever experienced — even the grandstand felt it.
A spectacular finish to a spectacular weekend. State Cup never fails to put on a show
