The NSWTA would like to inform the membership that they are in full support of the Australian Government’s COVIDSafe app, as part of the plan to have Australia in readiness for a return to community sport.

The app has been launched by the Government as part of its plan to slow the spread of COVID-19, and it will help health officials to quickly alert people who may be at risk of having contact with the virus.

Our Touch Football community has really come together during the COVID-19 pandemic, adhering to suspension instructions, social distancing, and travel restrictions. We urge all our members to get behind the government’s latest initiative.

The COVIDSafe app is an important initiative in the Government’s plans to slow the spread of the coronavirus, and downloading the app is something you can do to protect you, your family and friends and save the lives of other Australians.

The health and wellbeing of all our participants is of paramount importance to us. We view this as not just an important this community health message that you can play a major role in but also an initiative toward getting us back on the park.

The sooner we can stop the spread of COVID-19, the sooner restrictions will be lifted.

The NSWTA, TFA and QTF continue to liaise with governments and medical experts to pave the way for the return of Affiliate competitions. Currently, these are suspended until at least 1 June 2020 and in conjunction with TFA and QTF we will be providing a further update in due course.”

The COVIDSafe app is available to download for your smartphone via the  Apple app store or Google Play Store.
