NSW Touch Football is pleased to announce Team NSW Squads in preparation for the 2022 State of Origin Series.
With no senior representative touch football, this season due to COVID and weather events to monitor players identified in the NSWTA Talent Identification program, the selectors and team management have had to rely on performances in the lead into the 2021 State of Origin series to produce these squads.
All squad members have until 5 pm Friday, April 8th to accept their position in the squads. If you have been named in a squad below and have not received an email please contact [email protected]
The selectors will then observe those who are participating at the postponed NTL prior to the most important final selection camp in memory for Team NSW which will take on the weekend of May 28-29.
Queensland Touch Football (QTF) Chief Executive Officer, Greg Denny, has announced the series would be played at C.ex Coffs International Stadium on 19-20 August 2022, in partnership with Coffs Harbour City Council. Albeit unusual for QTF to host the State of Origin series outside of Queensland; access to stadium availability in Queensland has been significantly impacted by COVID-19 with several sports and sports organisations relocating to Queensland, making access and availability to quality stadiums and venues limited during the State of Origin window.
WOMEN’s 27 / MEN’s 30s / SENIOR MIXED
MEN’s 50s / MEN’s 55s / MEN’s 60s
NB There are discussions occurring between both states around the possibility of a Women’s 50s division, however, these have not been finalised at this time.
