NSW Touch Football Conference, Coaching Sessions

The 2019 NSW Touch Football State Conference is fast approaching. This years conference has added incentives for coaches to attend. Due to the success of the Elite coaching session in previous years, we have added two more coaching specific sessions by industry experts Te Whanau Sportz and Ksquared.

The Elite coaching session is on again, hosted by  NSW Touch Football’s Elite coaches Paul Sfier, Mick Moussa and Manu Wakely. You will also have the not to be missed opportunity to listen to key note speaker Sir Graham Lowe. Lowe has coached Rugby League at the highest level and is currently the owner of the Bradford Bulls in the English Super League.

Presenters in Focus

 

Sir Graham Lowe

Sir Graham Lowe has forged a reputation that transcends his position as a football coach and rugby league icon.

In the all-in session, Lowe will discuss aspects of both personal and professional experiences from his life, that reflect the very nature of the man, hard-hitting, down-to-earth, yet compassionate, realistic and results-driven.

Sir Graham has coached Rugby League at the highest level, coaching Manly-Warringah, North Queensland Cowboys and Wigan in the ARL and Super League competitions. Queensland in State of Origin and New Zealand at National level.

Off the field Sir Graham was appointed to Chief Executive Officer of the Manly Sea Eagles from 2009-2011, and is currently the owner of the Bradford Bulls in England. Lowe was awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for community service in the 1986 New Year Honours, and has recently been promoted to Knight Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to youth and education in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours.

Te Whanau Sportz

Player development starts at the beginning and never stops. As a coach you are always looking to develop your players to better themselves and further their progression in Touch Football. In this session you will learn how to coach your players to develop and master the skills every Touch Football player requires.

Roha Paki was awarded the 2017/18 Junior Coach of the year for NSW Touch Football, she has taken her Manly Sea Eagles 18 Girls team through undefeated since they began in the Under 10’s.

Willy Bishop is a current NSW Origin representative and former Australian representative.

Ksquared Sportstyle

Identical twin brothers John & Maurice Kennedy have their own business, developing youth holistically in sport. Ksquared sportstyle have combined, experience, knowledge and a desire to learn from mentors, to now pay that evaluated experience forward and give back to their chosen sports Touch, Rugby league and rugby union. After competing in all 3 codes at professional and semi-professional environments, the brothers learnt a lot along their unique journey.

Through serious injuries, challenges, multiple championship titles, a diploma in sport development and a cert IV in elite athlete well being management. They now run their own clinic’s, footy programs and are also the Head coaches at NSHS as well as being well being specialists at multiple schools on the northern beaches. The brothers are looking forward to working with everyone involved with the conference and NSW Touch Football.

Elite Coaching Workshop

NSW Touch Football Elite coaches, Paul Sfier, Manu Wakley and Mick Moussa will allow State Conference participants the opportunity pick their brains as they take you through new information, strategies to implement an effective learning environment for your team.

Paul Sfier coached the NSW Men’s Open team to victory at the 2018 State of Origin, is the current Wests Women’s Premier League coach, Assistant coach of the 2019 World Cup winning Australia Men’s Open team, and won the inaugural Women’s NRL Touch Premiership Competition with the Wests Tigers.

Mick Moussa coached the NSW Women’s Open team at the 2018 State of Origin, assistant coach of the 2019 World Cup winning Women’s Open team and coach of the Newcastle Knights in the NRL Touch Premiership.

Many Wakely coached the NSW Mixed open team to victory at the 2018 State of Origin Series, has coached the highly successful Easts Roosters Mixed team for a number of years and is the Rebels Mixed coach at the National Touch League.
