The sun rose over Wallsend Park to the sound of whistles, laughter, and the unmistakable buzz of school sport at its very best. On April 29th-30th, the Hunter All Schools Event, proudly run by NSW Touch Football, had arrived — and this year, it was bigger than ever before.
A record-breaking 103 teams entered across the two-day carnival, transforming the fields into a sea of colour, energy, and excitement. From the first warm-up drills in the cool morning air to the final siren late each afternoon, every patch of grass carried the intensity of competition and the joy of students representing their schools with pride.
Behind the scenes, more than 90 referees worked tirelessly across the two days, ensuring every match flowed smoothly. Their commitment, professionalism, and passion for the game kept the tournament moving at full speed, even as game after game delivered thrilling finishes, incredible tries, and moments players will remember for years to come. With 2 minute gaps between games it was brilliant to see the day run on schedule.
