I am pleased to formally advise that the transition of NSW Touch from an Incorporated Association to a
Company Limited by Guarantee has now been completed.
NSW Touch Football Limited has been successfully registered under the Corporations Act 2001. The
details of registration are as follows:
• Registered name: NSW Touch Football Limited trading as NSW Touch Football (NSWTF)
• Australian Company Number (ACN): 694 507 241
• Structure: Public company limited by guarantee
• Jurisdiction: Registered in New South Wales
• Date of commencement of registration: 20 January 2026
This follows the Special General Meeting held on 10 November 2025, where members overwhelmingly
supported the resolutions required to approve the new governance structure, company name, and
constitution.
This milestone represents an important step forward in strengthening our governance framework and
positioning our organisation for long-term sustainability and growth. Operating as a company limited by
guarantee aligns us with contemporary governance standards for sporting organisations of our size and
complexity and brings us into line with the national body and other leading state organisations.
Importantly, this change does not alter our purpose, values, or community focus. There is no change to the
rights of members, Affiliates, or Regions. Our commitment to delivering safe, inclusive and high-quality
Touch Football experiences across New South Wales remains unchanged.
Over the coming weeks, we will continue to finalise remaining administrative and regulatory transition
items and update references across our policies, agreements and publications to reflect our new legal
entity name.
