NSW Touch Association Announces 2025 State of Origin Teams

The New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) has officially announced its representative teams for the 2025 State of Origin (SOO) series, set to take place at C.ex Coffs International Stadium in Coffs Harbour on June 20–21, 2025.

In what promises to be another thrilling chapter in one of touch football’s fiercest rivalries, NSW will face Queensland in a best-of-three format across all divisions. With a proud legacy on the line, NSW enters the series as the reigning champions, having held the coveted SOO shield since 2004.

NSWTA General Manager Dean Russell expressed confidence in the squad selections and excitement for the upcoming battles.

“Our athletes have worked incredibly hard to earn their spots, and we’re proud of the teams we’re taking into this year’s Origin series,” Russell said. “This event is the pinnacle of representative touch football, and we know Queensland will come hard. But we have belief in our systems, our preparation, and the strength of our program.”

The 2025 series will showcase the very best of touch football, with players from across New South Wales set to don the sky blue and represent their state with pride.
