The New South Wales Touch Association (NSWTA) is excited to announce the squads that will contest the final selection before representing the state in the upcoming 2025 Touch Football State of Origin series against Queensland. The highly anticipated showdown, which will occur on June 20 and 21, 2025, promises to be another thrilling chapter in the fierce rivalry between these two powerhouse states.
NSW has a proud and illustrious history in the State of Origin series, having held the title since 2004. The Blues have consistently dominated the competition, showcasing unparalleled skill, heart, and determination year after year. As the reigning champions, NSW will look to extend their legacy and further solidify their dominance over Queensland on the biggest stage in Australian touch football.
Our coaches and selectors finalised the squads after two years of hard work, dedication, and talent identification. While the squads have now taken shape, the final team selection will take place over the weekend of April 5 and 6. Players will have one last opportunity to impress the selectors and coaching staff and earn their place in the prestigious NSW teams.
All squad members should have received an email from the NSWTA office. If you have been selected below and have not received the notification via email, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the NSWTA Office (nswtouch@nswtouch.com.au).
NSWTA is confident that the chosen players will be ready to defend the title with pride and passion. The selection weekend will be crucial in finalising the teams, and with the calibre of talent throughout the state, the competition for spots will be fierce.
As the countdown to June begins, the NSWTA is calling on the NSWTA community to support the Blues as our teams prepare to face Queensland in what is sure to be another memorable and action-packed State of Origin series.
Stay tuned for more updates as the final squads are confirmed, and make sure to mark your calendars for June 20 and 21, 2025, as NSW looks to continue its reign as the State of Origin champions.
Let the rivalry continue!
