New South Wales Touch Football is excited to announce the extension of its partnership with Guzman y Gomez (GYG) for a further two years, covering the 2026 and 2027 seasons and it’s set to be bigger, bolder and packed with flavour.
Following the success of the existing partnership, NSW Touch Football and GYG will continue to unite around community, energy, inclusivity and fun, bringing fresh activations, fan engagement and unforgettable moments to touch football events across the state.
A highlight of the renewed partnership will be the launch of the GYG Try of the Day, celebrating the most exciting, skilful or game-changing try at the Junior State Cups.
The initiative will shine a spotlight on standout players while delivering fun, flavour, and prizes for the touch football community.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2026 & 2027

The partnership will continue to support Touch Football at the grassroots level, with activations planned across metropolitan and regional NSW — from Sydney to Wagga Wagga and Dubbo.
NSW Touch Football CEO Dunca Tweed said: “We’re thrilled to extend our partnership with Guzman y Gomez for another two years. GYG’s energy, fun and community focus align perfectly with our sport, and we’re excited to build on what we’ve already created together.”
Guzman y Gomez stated that “Touch football is fast and high-energy – just like GYG. We’re excited to continue our partnership with NSW Touch Junior State Cup, celebrating the GYG Try of the Day and backing the community. GYG is the fast food athletes say yes to, and we’re proud to fuel athletes through the 2026 and 2027 seasons.”
