NSW Touch Football is pleased to confirm that recruitment is now open for two important roles that will support the organisation’s next phase of strategic growth, organisational improvement and sport-wide delivery.
The roles of Head of Performance, Pathways & Integrity and Executive Assistant are two of a number of positions that will be advertised as NSW Touch Football continues to lift its internal capacity, strengthen organisational capability and build the systems required to grow and support the sport across New South Wales.
These appointments form part of a broader organisational improvement process focused on ensuring NSW Touch Football is well placed to deliver on its strategic priorities, support affiliates and regions, strengthen governance and administration, and provide clearer pathways for participants, coaches, referees, selectors, volunteers and staff.
NSW Touch Football Chief Executive Officer Daniel Rushworth said the recruitment process reflects the organisation’s commitment to building a stronger and more sustainable operating model.
“As we look to the future, it is critical that NSW Touch Football has the right people, structures and systems in place to support the growth of the sport,” Rushworth said.
“These roles are not simply about filling positions. They are about strengthening the organisation so we can better support our community, improve the way we work, and deliver more effectively across participation, pathways, performance, governance and integrity.”
Head of Performance, Pathways & Integrity
The Head of Performance, Pathways & Integrity is a senior leadership role that will help shape the future of Touch Football in NSW.
This role will lead the strategic oversight of performance programs, elite and emerging talent pathways, coaching and referee development, representative programs, selection systems and sport integrity.
A key focus of the position will be strengthening the connection between grassroots participation, regional development, NSW representative programs and elite performance environments, including NSW Teams and State of Origin.
The role will also provide leadership across the High Performance Unit, including coaching, refereeing and selection functions, while ensuring NSW Touch Football maintains safe, fair, inclusive and well-governed sport environments.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior sport leader to influence the future direction of performance, pathways and integrity across one of the state’s largest and most passionate sporting communities.
Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant role will provide high-level executive, governance and administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and play an important role in supporting the effective coordination of NSW Touch Football’s executive operations.
The position will support CEO workflow, diary and meeting management, Board and committee administration, governance documentation, correspondence, reporting coordination and key organisational processes.
As NSW Touch Football continues to strengthen its governance, systems and organisational delivery, this role will be central to supporting strong executive performance, professional stakeholder engagement and effective follow-through across key priorities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a highly organised, discreet and proactive professional who enjoys working close to organisational leadership and contributing to the smooth operation of a growing and evolving sporting organisation.
Building capacity for the future
NSW Touch Football is currently undertaking a deliberate process of organisational refinement to ensure the sport has the right capability to meet future demands.
This includes strengthening leadership across key portfolios, improving internal coordination, enhancing governance and reporting systems, and ensuring the organisation is better positioned to support affiliates, regions, competitions, events, technical development and representative pathways.
The advertisement of these roles is an important step in building the workforce required to deliver on the organisation’s strategy and support the continued growth of Touch Football across NSW.
Further roles will be advertised in the coming period as part of this broader investment in people, systems and organisational capability.
