NSW Touch Football Confirms 2026–2027 Major Event Schedule
NSW Touch Football (NSWTF) is pleased to announce the location and scheduling of major events for 2026 and 2027.
Senior State Cup – Port Macquarie (2026 & 2027)
The Senior State Cup will remain in Port Macquarie for 2026 and 2027.
  • 2026: December 4-6
  • 2027: December 3-5
Port Macquarie has consistently demonstrated strong support for the event, delivering a high-quality experience for players, officials and supporters. The ongoing partnership with the local community remains highly valued, with the 50th Senior State Cup in 2027 set to be a significant milestone celebration.
Country Championships – Mudgee (2026 & 2027)
The Country Championships will remain in Mudgee for 2026 and 2027.
  • 2026: October 17–18
  • 2027: October 16–17
Mudgee’s consistent delivery of exceptional regional events, supported by one of the leading facilities in NSW, makes it an ideal host venue.
Junior State Cup Southern Conference – Wagga Wagga (2027)
The Junior State Cup Southern Conference will remain in Wagga in 2027.
  • 2027: February 12–14
Wagga continues to provide a strong regional platform for the Southern Conference, supporting high-quality delivery and a positive experience for all participants.
Junior State Cup Northern Conference – Dubbo (2027)
The Junior State Cup Northern Conference will remain in Dubbo in 2027.
  • 2027: February 26–28
Importantly, the revised date for the Northern Conference avoids clashes with other major sporting events experienced in past years. We recognise that these scheduling conflicts have created challenges for Affiliates, participants and families.
These events sit alongside the previously announced Junior Regionals, to be held at Tuggerah (Central Coast Regional Sporting & Recreation Complex) on 18–19 April 2026 and 17–18 April 2027.
Confirming the Junior State Cup for one year ensures all major NSWTF events align within the same strategic cycle, while also providing the opportunity to undertake a considered and deliberate review of event structures, divisional models and future growth opportunities to position the event strongly for long-term success.
In reaching this position, a range of complex factors were carefully considered, including field capacity, travel distance, weather patterns, family logistics, competing events, accommodation pressures and our broader commitment to strengthening participation growth and engagement across the sport over the long-term.
Further Affiliate engagement will be undertaken in the coming months regarding the future structure of the Junior State Cup, including competition formats and divisional models. Additional information relating to the 2027 event will be communicated in due course, with venues, structure and format for 2028 and beyond to be announced by 31 October 2026.
NSWTF Chair, Anthony Dudeck, welcomed the announcement.
“A strategic and considered approach has guided these decisions. Confirming Port Macquarie reflects the strength of our partnership with the local community, and we look forward to celebrating the 50th State Cup with them in 2027. Mudgee’s outstanding facilities continue to provide an excellent platform for the delivery of Country Championships at a regional level.
Confirming the Junior State Cup for 2027 within a one-year framework allows us to undertake a comprehensive review of its long-term structure, ensuring we position the event strongly for the future and in alignment with our forthcoming Strategic Plan and broader whole-of-sport planning initiatives. This approach also provides flexibility to align with the outcomes of the Touch Football Australia National Calendar Review.
The adjustment to the Northern Conference dates is particularly significant, as it removes historical scheduling conflicts and better supports our players, families and Affiliates.”
NSWTF thanks all host venues, Affiliates and stakeholders for their ongoing support and partnership and looks forward to continuing to deliver outstanding events across 2026 and 2027.
