Helping Affiliates grow the game locally

NSW Touch Football, in partnership with Touch Football Australia, is pleased to launch the Affiliate Participation Growth Grants Program; a joint initiative designed to support Affiliates to create new participation opportunities and help more people play Touch Football.

This program is directly aligned to the ASC Play Well Strategy and the NSWTF Strategic Plan, with a shared focus on growing participation, supporting local delivery, strengthening Affiliates, and creating welcoming, accessible and sustainable opportunities for people to be involved in our game.

Grants of between $2,000 and $5,000 from a pool of $40,000 will be available for Affiliate-led projects that are directly linked to participation growth and new participation initiatives.

This program has been developed with Affiliate volunteers in mind. We know that the best ideas often come from the people delivering the game every week;  the committees, volunteers, coaches, referees, and local leaders who understand their communities better than anyone.

Whether your Affiliate wants to attract new juniors, launch a social competition, reconnect past players, build female participation, partner with local schools, trial a modified format, or create a new entry point for first-time players, this grant program is designed to help turn good local ideas into action.

Eligible projects may include:

    • Come-and-try days linked to ongoing competitions.

    • Junior participation programs.

    • Female participation initiatives.

    • Social or modified Touch Football formats.

    • School-to-Affiliate transition programs.

    • Local marketing campaigns to attract new players.

    • Community partnerships that create new participation opportunities.

    • Initiatives that re-engage past players or grow new teams.

The focus is simple: more people playing Touch Football through our Affiliates.

This is an opportunity for Affiliates to access practical support, test new ideas and deliver projects that can make a real difference in their local community. NSWTF will also provide support to help Affiliates develop their applications and shape projects that are achievable, measurable and aligned to participation growth.

Together, NSWTF and TFA are committed to backing Affiliates, supporting volunteers, and investing in local ideas that grow the game.
