The picturesque coastal town of Port Macquarie is set to host the highly anticipated State Cup, showcasing the best senior touch football talent from across the state.

The premier sporting event, scheduled to take place from Friday 1st December, promises an exhilarating display of skill, teamwork, and competition.

State Cup has become a hallmark event in the sporting calendar, drawing participants and spectators alike to witness the pinnacle of senior touch football in NSW. This year’s tournament is expected to be no exception, with teams converging on Port Macquarie from all corners of the state and the world to vie for glory.

“We are thrilled to bring the Senior State Cup to Port Macquarie this year. It’s not only an opportunity to showcase the incredible talent within our senior touch football community but also a chance for the community to come together and support their local teams” said General Manager Dean Russell

“It is especially exciting this year as we welcome 7 international teams across Japan, Singapore, England, and the Philipines in preparation for the 2024 World Cup which is being held in Nottingham”

Dom Tripp England’s Men’s Open Captain said they were blessed to be in Australia to play against the best players in the world “We recently played at the QLD State Cup and heading to the NSW Event allows us to spend time together as a team”

Tripp said the team has been training only once a month due to a big freeze that hit the country so being able to play in a 2 week block has been beneficial “We are here to be challenged and teams and coaches have been so generous with their sharing of information to help us grow and develop”
